Caged Beast

Words of venom on my page

Growls of the beast I strive to cage

Venting anger so I won't bite

Seething darkness kept by light

Some people just won't understand

Why vicious lyrics spring from my hand

They can't see it keeps me tame

So a beast shan't keep my fragile frame

Fangs don't bare if I may write

So here I sit, one moon lit night

Scratching out my acid words

And smiling at my captive's purrs
